When BobbiJo and Morgan started telling me about their Denver church wedding, I admit, I was a bit nervous at first. Church weddings can be hard to photograph. Lighting is tricky. It is usually very dark and many churches now-a-days are super …..functional. They don’t always have much of the beauty in architecture or art. However, this church was beautiful in all of these ways, but really, it was the love between these two that lit up the entire room.
Morgan and BobbiJo first met on BobbiJo’s first day of work. Morgan gave her the tour for her new job but they didn’t really notice each other for the first few years of working together. Then they got put on the same project and started spending more time together. At a staff luncheon, they saw each other again in a more casual setting and they were instantly struck by the other. They started spending time together and went on their first date a few weeks later. Then, during the solar eclipse in 2017, Morgan proposed to BobbiJo in front of all the other sun-gazers. The funny thing is, most of them were so focused on the eclipse that they didn’t even notice. The couple even gave out eclipse glasses at the wedding and their cake had a solar eclipse on the top!
Stunning Denver Church Wedding
Morgan and BobbiJo dreamed of a simple, low-key celebration of their love. They had their wedding ceremony at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, followed by a lunch reception at Kachina Southwest Grill. Even though they had a church wedding, their day was far from traditional. They nixed the wedding veil, the dancing, and the bouquet toss. At the ceremony, they walked down the aisle side by side. Their day was perfectly them and focused on spending time with loved ones and eating well!
