I could go on and on forever about these amazing sessions we did at the Great Sand Dunes National Park. They were part of an amazing shoot out I collaborated on. A bunch of photographers, models, and other wedding vendors got together to create and capture these styled photoshoots. We started the day with two engagement sessions with these two amazing couples. Then, the same two couple changed into their wedding attire and we did Day After Wedding portraits with them.
There was so much work and preparation that went into making these sessions so amazing and we had the best team! We got an amazing bouquet from Quintessential Events. The wedding dresses were from Something New Boutique and the makeup was done by Magnifica Bella, while Tawny at Shear Elegance was our hair stylist. The first couple was Kaitlyn and Doug and the second was Eric and Brittany. I told you there was a lot that went into this! And I had so much fun photographing it all. I even got to fake a sunset, which is one of my favorite photography tricks.
Day After Wedding Sessions at the Sand Dunes
These sessions weren’t quite like newlywed portraits that happen during a wedding. Instead, they were more like to Day After Wedding sessions. I love the idea of a day after session because it takes so much stress out of the wedding day and you can be so much more creative with it. For example, the Sand Dunes are pretty hard to get to so we wouldn’t be able to drive over there for couples portraits during a wedding. But with a day after session, you could go to some pretty amazing locations like this one and have all the time in the world. Plus, you still get to have your flowers, get special hair and makeup done, and wear your tux and gown! Who’s up for a day after session at the Sand Dunes!
