Michala and Jeremiah had a modern, rustic wedding at Flying Horse Ranch. After postponing their Larkspur military wedding, they were finally able to bring everyone together to celebrate their union. For me, this was my first big wedding after the shutdown and hopefully, a sign that things were getting back to normal. It was also a double wedding weekend for me. Jeremiah and Michala’s excitement and energy were all I needed to keep me going. Well, that and coffee! Seriously, these two were so full of joy and so much elation!

Michala and Jeremiah met through a mutual friend from church, who ended up being Michala’s maid of honor. They went on a first date to get coffee and ended up spending 7.5 hours together! When Jeremiah was ready to propose, he decided on Aspen and Maroon Bells to take couple’s portraits. There, Jeremiah read Michala a sweet, handwritten letter and proposed on a bridge overlooking the valley. I just love when so much heart is put into creating a memorable story to share for decades to come.

Jeremiah is in the US Air Force Academy and comes from a military family so he, along with his brother and father all wore their dress blues. Michala is a country girl through and through. She wore her best cowgirl boots under her dress and picked sunflowers for the bouquets. She even brought her horse to her wedding! I’ve photographed all kinds of animals at weddings and I loved taking newlywed photos with her horse. He even gave us a cheesy smile! This wedding was so beautiful and fun. I hope these two get to take their St. Lucia honeymoon soon!
