Sarah and David had a small Jewish wedding at Garden of the Gods this fall. The details of this wedding were absolutely stunning and almost rivaled the amazing views. Except for the fact that the views were a bit hazy and hidden from the smoke from so many wildfires this year. Luckily, there was enough of Garden of the Gods visible from the Resort.
As they both were getting ready, I snagged a wedding gift for David from a friend to photograph his details and even included Sarah’s dress. After they got ready, we headed out to a secluded part of the park to do their first look. I thought it was so special to have the sweeping mountain views but just for the two of them! Then, they had a Jewish ceremony with their close family members, overlooking the red rocks. We went off to get some newlywed portraits next to Garden of the Gods Club and Resort’s famous reflecting pool. It lit the sky up pink for the most gorgeous sunset. They ended the night with the hora, which is always so much fun!
David and Sarah’s Garden of the Gods Wedding
These two already dodged one covid outbreak when they went up to Crested Butte to ski and David proposed the day before all ski resorts got shut down. So of course, they weren’t going to risk getting their family sick so they took lots of precautions. Thankfully, they really lucked out with the weather because the whole wedding, from the first look through to the reception, was outdoors.
This is a really great way to make a wedding safer during the pandemic. If it’s a bit too cold for guests to stay outside all day, blankets, outdoor heaters, and fire pits are a great way to keep everyone warm and safe. This wedding was already cut down to 30 people and the seating was all spread out so everyone could socially distance. The only person in their wedding party was the adorable flower girl, Presley, which meant fewer people in the getting ready room keeping more family and friends safe.
