Palmer Lake Wedding at Pinecrest

I was so excited to photograph this Palmer Lake wedding last fall. When I photographed this couple’s engagement session last winter, I basically fell in love with them. They are so cute and so perfect for each other. Sarah and Ethan have been together since the 8th grade. They met in middle school and have been inseparable ever since. Honestly, they are one of the most perfect couples. These two are so lucky to have found each other so young. To me, they are like Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, although I’m sure they’re way too young to understand the reference. Lol!

I also fell in love with their wedding venue! Ethan and Sarah got married at The Historic Pinecrest in Palmer Lake. Can you believe that this was my first wedding at Pinecrest and it’s only ten minutes from my house!? I can’t believe I’d never photographed a wedding here before because it is such a great venue. They just renovated the chapel and getting ready areas and it is so beautiful. The spaces and bright and airy and really adaptable so each couple can put their special touch on it.

This was my last full wedding of 2020 (before a ton of elopements to end the year). They were also one of my only 2020 couples who didn’t have to postpone or switch to an elopement. Seriously, luck must follow this couple everywhere they go! At their first look, they had a private vow exchange with just the two of them. I really love that idea because it takes the best of both worlds from elopements and weddings. When we went out for their newlywed portraits during the reception, the sun finally came out and they had the most amazing sunset. (They had an incredible sunset at their engagement session too so be sure to check that out.) Ethan and Sarah have been together forever and just seem perfectly in love every day of their lives. I am so glad I got to help tell their love story.
