Colette celebrated her first birthday! We had a super fun milestone session with her complete with a donut cake smash. Have you ever seen a first birthday donut smash before? Me either but Colette’s parents are geniuses so I ordered donuts instead of a cake for her session. Plus the whole set up what donut themed with donut stacks everyone and blow up donuts, plus lots of sprinkles. It was so cute! In fact, I’m so in love that I wanted to do a whole post about alternatives to cake smashes. The key to a good first birthday smash is to pick a food that is super messy. So I thought of some other messy foods that babies love to eat. Some of them are even healthy! And if your baby was born around a holiday, I have ideas for them too!
